Another BT connection issue ver 2.4.1

Hi,
I have downloaded and compiled, the latest version in the hope to fix my intermittent BT connection issues, but with the new version it wont connect at all.

My inverter is a Sunnyboy SB4000TL
I am using a very old and "no brand" BT usb dongle. I have ordered an ASUS as per the recommended on the pi site. Not sure if this could be the issue.

I have upgraded from version SMAspot V2.0.6. The problem with this version was that it was very unstable and it would connect successfully maybe only every 20 or 30minutes.
Here is an output from this version, where it only worked partially:

RPi & Bluetooth is not a happy marriage ;-)
Between 2.06 and 2.4 there were no code changes in the connect function.
From my own experience I know some BT dongles can connect, but are unable to reliably get the data
Besides the BT address, there is nothing else to configure for bluetooth
So, be patient to get your new dongle and try with this one...

Thanks for the reply.
I actually got the new BT dongle today and it seems to have done the trick :)

However, I still have 1 more issue with v2.4.1 that I did not see in 2.06:
I get an error as follows:
PVOutput::getSystemData()
getSystemData() returned -1: Unknown error
PVOutput::Export()
OK 200: Added Status

I am not sure if it is important to the output or uploading of the data.... ?
I am using :
Timezone=Australia/Sydney
Locale=en-US

Is there Locale=en-AU ????
Can I ignore the error ???

Hi Hermant,
That's good news! Like I said, the type of BT dongle is very important for the combination RPi + SMA inverter
You can ignore the getSystemData error. Actually it's some test I did in preparation for V3.0 and it has no impact on PVoutput upload.
There is no en-AU. I don't even know what the differences are...
