The bluetooth signal of SMA 2500TL does not reach till where I want my Raspberry Pi to be (next to my smart meter as I also have that hooked up). There is also no direct ethernet cable access either which can be hooked to the Webconnect / Speedwire.

What I'd like to know if it's possible hook up a ethernet to wifi device to the Webconnect / Speedwire and access this through my WLAN. Is this possible with SBFSpot or do you need a direct connection through bluetooth or ethernet?

Yes, should be possible. SBFspot just needs a (fixed) IP address.
