BlueTooth Problem

Jun 4, 2014 at 8:01 AM
Hi

Hope some on can shed some light on the problem I am experiencing with SMAspot running on my Raspberry Pi.

Running hcitool scan finds my inverter as below

pi@solarpi ~/smaspot/bin/Release $ hcitool scan
Scanning ...
    00:80:25:23:8D:73 BlueCN+002 D-238D73
Yet running ./SMAspot -v - u it does not connect to the inverter and i get the results below ending with CRITICAL: BT_Connect() returned -1

pi@solarpi ~/smaspot/bin/Release $ ./SMAspot -v -u -finq
SMAspot V2.0.6
Yet another tool to read power production of SMA solar inverters

Try with another BT adapter first (read this too)
Still using V2.0.6 ?

Had same issue with cheap RaspberryPi BT dongle. (modmypi side?).

Bought Asus from the list of working devices and now working perfectly !
