FIXED!!!! I see the problem is I needed to install g++ not make.

I am running Linux Mint 17 Qiana and have never had to compile anything for myself before this.
I was able to follow the instructions without a hitch until I got to:
peter@Dell-1012 ~/pi/sbfspot.3/SBFspot $ sudo make install_sqlite
test -d bin/Release_SQLite || mkdir -p bin/Release_SQLite
test -d obj/Release_SQLite || mkdir -p obj/Release_SQLite
g++ -Wall -O2 -DUSE_SQLITE  -c boost_ext.cpp -o obj/Release_SQLite/boost_ext.o
make: g++: Command not found
make: *** [obj/Release_SQLite/boost_ext.o] Error 127
Checking the software manager shows no program with the name 'make'. I see that automake is already installed but that also throws an error:
automake: error: no Automake input file found for 'install_sqlite'
Can somebody please point me in the right direction.
Peter
