I am new to working with code that needs to be compiled, so please excuse me if I have missed something obvious. I am setting up SBFspot on a Raspberry Pi using a freshly made Raspian image. I have run through all the preparatory steps outlined in the V3 install guide. Things are going wrong for me when I reach the point of:

sudo make install_sqlite

After some time this fails with the message:
Please submit a full bug report,
 with preprocessed source if appropriate.
 See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.9?README.Bugs> for instructions
makefile:189: recipe for target 'obj/Release_SQLite/SFBspot.o' failed
 make: *** [obj/release_SQLite/SBFspot.o] Error 4
Is there a problem with the contents SBFspot_SRC_331_Linux_Win32.tar.gz, or do I need to add any additional packages to my system? I'm afraid I am pushing the boundaries of my understanding here so some suggestions would be appreciated.

Never seen this before... This topic is about out-of-memory issue.
Are there other big processes running or did you modify /boot/config.txt ?

It looks like swap space was the problem. After reading through that thread I increased the swap file size and set it to use an external USB stick for the swap file. Many hours later it has compiled and I am onto the next step. Thank you.

For the record I had not made any changes to /boot/config.txt
