yesterday evening I rebooted my pi (sudo reboot) => or should use sudo shutdown -r now ?

afterwards daemon starts but started giving the following error:

ERROR: addBatchStatus() returned Couldn't resolve host name

eversince nothing is uploaded to PVoutput, though data is being imported normally, something wrong with uploader ?

config is still fine, as far as I can see nothing has changed in the config ... I checked a lot of settings, all seems fine, no clue what's wrong here since yesterday

wrong command to reboot ?

config of uploaddaemon:
################################
### PVoutput Upload Settings ###
################################
#PVoutput_SID
#Map inverters to PVoutput System ID's
#PVoutput_SID=SerialNmbrInverter_1:SID_1,SerialNmbrInverter_2:SID_2
#e.g. PVoutput_SID=200212345:4321
PVoutput_SID=2130432209:50264

#PVoutput_Key
#Sets PVoutput API Key
PVoutput_Key=CORRECT API KEY
after trying to start daemon again manually i see this line:

ERROR: Unable to open output file. See syslog for details. and then it continues with the "couldn't resolve host name" error

EDIT: http://sbfspot1.rssing.com/chan-54718564/all_p3.html

at this page i found the following comment:
try it without '-' ps aux | grep SBFspotUploadDaemon Probably there is already a '/tmp/SBFspotUploadDaemon.out' Delete it if there is A reboot might help also
I removed it with sudo rm ... the specific file but no luck

When you reboot while the daemon is executing a query, I think it might go wrong.
Stopping the daemon will be safer. I'm not sure a shutdown will wait for all daemons to stop.

New card is done. Imported max amount of days. Now it uploaded yesterday at that time (17h40) and nothing afterwards.

Today's data and day before yesterday are incomplete or missing

Pfff. Data of today is in the db though
sqlite> select * from vwspotdata;

edit: apparantly I had a value too high entry in the DB, removed that one, started uploading again now. Let's see if all is fine again now!

PS: what command to kill the daemon ? killall is ok or any other advised ?
